A skier fell into a ravine at a ski resort in Kyrgyzstan and suffered serious injuries
According to law enforcement, on February 8, 2026, at approximately 9:40 PM, the Alamedin District Police Department received a report of a female skier falling into a ravine at the Kashka-Kulak ski resort, located in the village of Baitik in the Alamedin District.
An investigative team was dispatched to the scene. The investigation revealed that the woman, T.A., born in 2006, had come to the resort with friends to ski. While skiing, she was traveling at high speed, broke through the rope barrier at the edge of the slope, and fell into the ravine.
The victim was urgently hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the National Hospital in Bishkek with severe injuries. According to preliminary medical reports, she suffered fractures to both legs, her left arm, and a spinal injury.
A forensic medical examination has been ordered. Law enforcement agencies are continuing their investigation. Based on the results of the investigation, a procedural decision will be made within the framework of current legislation.
