Anaconda nearly strangled a dog.
A dog named Rabika had the misfortune of encountering a large, 6-meter-long anaconda.
A woman from Urania (São Paulo, Brazil) called the fire department in a panic, reporting that a snake had attacked her pet near a stream and was strangling her. While firefighters were getting to the scene of the shocking incident, the dog's owner and her neighbors were also busy. They pelted the reptile with rocks, and it let go.
The firefighters who arrived captured the anaconda and later released it into the wild, far from populated areas. As for the dog, which miraculously survived and was mostly unharmed, it was taken to a veterinarian for a checkup. Rabika was adopted from the street seven years ago, and the woman describes her as very sweet and affectionate. Losing her dog would be a great tragedy.
