The owner of a liquor store gave his life for a customer, but no one appreciated it
In Colombia, a black debt collector shot dead a store owner. The owner of the store mistook the armed man for a robber.
Jose Alfredo Cortes Castrillon owned a 24-hour liquor store in Bucaramanga (Colombia) and had seen a lot in his time. On the night of March 10, a regular customer (in a shirt) dropped by with a friend, who paid for the drinks.
The men were unable to have a normal conversation: a man in a helmet appeared from around the corner, showed a weapon and began to rummage through the regular's pockets. Its owner mistook what was happening for a robbery and grabbed a pistol, moreover, he was the first to shoot at the stranger. The return bullet hit him in the temple, Castrillon died in the hospital.
According to police, the man in the helmet turned out to be a debt collector who had been stalking a man who owed a large amount of money for several weeks and was planning to take his phone and the remaining money that night, but not to shoot.
The debtor himself did not even think of helping Jose Alfredo, who stood up for him, but simply disappeared.
