“According to the investigation, in the morning of June 6, a 25-year-old local resident, while intoxicated, driving along the Sverdlovsky Highway in the city of Chelyabinsk hit a 16-year-old teenager,” the Investigative Committee of the Chelyabinsk Region said, adding that the driver was detained , a criminal case was initiated under paragraph “a” of Part 4 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Later it became known that the driver of the car was an employee of the Russian Guard of the Chelyabinsk Region. The press service of the department said that an inspection had been launched and the employee was suspended from service with subsequent dismissal for negative reasons. “He will also be held accountable in accordance with the law,” emphasized the press service of the Office of the Russian Guard for the Chelyabinsk Region.
