A major accident occurred on the Gorely - Bamovskaya section of the Trans-Baikal Railway, which is part of the Trans-Siberian Railway. 22 empty freight cars left the tracks after a train collided with a local resident's car. According to the press service of the Trans-Baikal Railway, the incident occurred on March 18 early in the morning.
According to the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office, the accident occurred due to the fault of the driver of the car, who drove onto the tracks outside the railway crossing. It is clarified that the locomotive crew was not injured; as for the driver, he received serious injuries and was hospitalized.
