An 18+ model takes her father's ashes to a shoot (4 photos)
An 18+ model shared how she's coping with the loss of her father. The 23-year-old admitted that she never parts with his ashes and even takes them with her to candid shoots.
Last year, Madeline May's father died at age 57. It took her a long time to recover from the grief. But she found solace in the fact that her loved one's ashes are always with her.
"I'm currently on a week-long trip around the country. I have my dad's urn with me. It's nice to talk about him—whether he's alive or not." We collaborate on podcasts, photo shoots, and work together in California."
Madeline says some people find her decision strange, but her father has always supported her in everything.
"I love that my dad is always there. He supported my career choice. Some parents criticize their children, but my dad would do anything for me. He was my best friend, and that's why he remains an important part of my life, even after he's gone," she shared.
Patrick died of cancer on December 18th last year. He had been ill for two weeks and died just three days after his diagnosis.
"My dad was my best friend," the model shares. "We made TikTok videos together. One day he said, 'I support all your work. I've watched all your TikToks and I'm proud of them. You're the best TikToker in America.' Our videos have gone viral so many times; we probably have billions of views."
Now the American has a busy work schedule, she has to leave home for a few weeks, and she thinks it would be wrong to leave her father alone.
"My dad and I recorded our last TikTok on December 8th. Ten days later, he passed away. I'm glad I still have our videos. They help me when I miss him. And I'm happy the whole world can see him."
"Everyone copes with grief differently. I feel weird and rude leaving him alone, so I don't do it. Dad will be with me, and he'll be surrounded by sexy adult models—I think he'd enjoy that," May says.
