The router took the car onto the under-construction bridge. The incident took place around 10 am on Sunday on the Halpur-Dataganj road. The victims reportedly fell 16 metres into the Ramganga river. The driver and two passengers died on the spot. 
The front portion of the bridge collapsed into the river due to flooding this year, Hindustan Times reported. This information was not displayed on Google Maps.
The families of the victims have accused local authorities of negligence, citing the lack of barriers and warning signs at the construction site. They have demanded an investigation into the incident.
