A bridge collapsed in Vyaz, Smolensk region. At the time of the collapse, 2 cars were driving along it; they fell down along with a piece of the roadway. According to preliminary information, there are three victims.
Due to the emergency, the gas pipeline was damaged. But it was blocked off, so an explosion was avoided.
The bridge went over the railroad tracks. Traffic on this line is now suspended.
Russian media reports that the bridge was repaired back in 2018, 10 million rubles were allocated for this. Information about the renovation has not yet been confirmed by official sources.
A criminal case has been opened into the bridge collapse. As a result of the emergency, there was also a death.
According to preliminary data, on April 8, at about 5 p.m., an overpass connecting two microdistricts in the city of Vyazma collapsed. As a result of the collapse, several cars traveling on the bridge fell down. There is a fatality, the number of injured is being determined.
