A combative Paraguayan grandfather.
Relatives of a 74-year-old pensioner from the Paraguayan city of Presidente Franco noticed three armed people in the yard of the house. The elderly man took out his revolver, waited for the right moment, and opened fire on the criminals.
Don Celso Maidana from the Paraguayan city of Presidente Franco had been waiting for years for a chance to use his revolver, and on the night of July 21, he was presented with an excellent opportunity to shoot at live targets.
The daughters and granddaughters of the 74-year-old pensioner noticed three armed people in the yard of the house. According to the police, the robbers got the wrong address, because there was nothing to take from Don—his family certainly could not be classified as middle class. However, they did not have time to find out, as they never even made it inside the house.
Now the tough grandfather is giving interviews, and the police are actively searching for the suspects, one of whom is believed to have been wounded.
