Emergency at a Pharmaceutical Company in India

A man stayed on for a second shift after his partner failed to show up for work. The accident occurred in the production facility of the pharmaceutical company V.J. Sai, located near the village of Chowthuppal.

This is how 39-year-old chemist Dhara Praveen spent his last minute on the afternoon of February 20th, after he stayed on for a second shift because his partner failed to show up for work. According to management, the employee was "pumping solvent into the reactor using barrels" when the accident occurred.

Firefighters attributed the accident to a short circuit, but investigators are leaning toward a chemical reaction.

Praveen died instantly, and another employee managed to escape.
