A parachuting demonstration in Honduras

On September 15, celebrations for Honduras' Independence Day were held at a stadium in Tegucigalpa. That day, the traditional paratrooper demonstration didn't go well... What are they doing on Honduran Paratrooper Day?!
The first to perform was 43-year-old Army Major Ever David Maldonado Chacon, one of the most experienced officers in charge of paratrooper training. He was evacuated by helicopter and diagnosed with comminuted and compression fractures of the spine at the hospital.
Next came the turn of one of Chacon's students: he landed on the roof and then "glided" into the packed stands. There's no word on his condition.
"While the incidents caused concern among those present, patriotic events continued as usual, demonstrating pride and unity on a historic day for Honduras," local media reported.
