Giza Lagarce, a second-generation model from New York City
Whatever you do in life, it helps if you have good genes. In the case of model Giza Lagarce, her parents are in the profession, so she inherited the beauty and body shape that photographers and editors look for. Her distinctive features can be attributed to her French-Mexican heritage, with her long brown hair and brown eyes guaranteed to turn heads.
Giza, 22, grew up in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, but now lives in New York City and is getting used to the different climate, public transportation and “running everywhere.” She studied broadcast and design in college before switching to journalism, but couldn’t fit it in with her modeling schedule. So she put her studies on hold, reasoning that her current career would only be an option for a limited time in her life, and that taking a break from school would give her time to decide what she wanted to do next.
