An elephant tossed a man at a festival in India into the air
During a festival in Kerala, India, an elephant participating in the festival suddenly threw a man into the air. The incident demonstrates that even elephants, commonly used for festivals, can pose a danger when in close contact with people.
The festival, held at the Annamananda Mahadeva Temple, was suspended after the elephant unexpectedly attacked a 26-year-old man standing nearby. The elephant grabbed the unfortunate man by the legs with its trunk, lifted him into the air, and violently threw him away. The man was rushed to the hospital, and doctors are assessing his condition as serious.
While authorities investigate the incident and decide what to do with the animal, many social media users are confident that similar tragedies will continue until people finally understand that it's not right to make animals "slaves and props" at their ceremonies.
