A taxi driver was able to fight off a robber

In Ecuador, a taxi passenger pulled out a gun and fired several shots at the driver. The man managed to fight off the attacker and then drove to the nearest hospital.

Pablo, a taxi driver from Ecuador, is a very lucky man. On the evening of November 26th, he offered to drive two tourists to the outskirts of Quito for $2.75, but along the way, one passenger pulled out a gun and shot the driver seven times.

Four bullets hit their target, one of which missed his jugular vein by three millimeters. Pablo fought off the robbers and then rushed to the nearest hospital. By the time he arrived, he could barely speak. The taxi driver is currently out of danger.

The attackers have not yet been traced. Investigators believe they were planning to steal the car in order to commit another crime.
