A celebratory jump in honor of Suriname's anniversary ended in a hard landing

During a festival celebrating Suriname's 50th anniversary of freedom, a skydiver was supposed to land spectacularly on the platform, but a strong headwind ruined his perfect plan. Instead of a smooth landing, he crashed hard to the ground.

Despite the failed stunt, spectators wished him a speedy recovery and expressed their support.
