A joyful Indian festival where everyone throws cow dung at each other
You've probably heard of Spanish and Latin American festivals where everyone has a tomato or orange fight, throwing the fruit at each other. But that's for weaklings.
In India, there's a festival for the truly disgusting man, where participants throw manure at each other. And just look how happy they are!
The festival is called Gorehabba and has been held in the village of Gummatapura since ancient times. This event is the final part of the religious holiday of Diwali, which is celebrated throughout India. The manure for the fight is collected in advance, then consecrated in a local temple and dumped on the streets of the village. There is so much of it that the fight literally takes place knee-deep in shit. Locals believe that manure is not only not disgusting, but also terribly useful. So everyone who takes part in this battle will have good luck all year long.
