Police in the Admiralteysky district detained a teenage tourist for shooting with a pneumatic gun at passers-by
On the night of June 24, a 70-year-old St. Petersburg resident contacted the Admiralteysky district police. An elderly man reported that on the evening of June 23, when he walked past house 13 on Stolyarny Lane, he heard a pop, after which he felt a sharp pain in his right shoulder.
An examination showed that the man had been shot with an air pistol. After receiving medical care, he was sent for outpatient treatment. A criminal case was initiated under Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism). During the investigation, police determined that the shot was fired from the window of a room located on the 4th floor of the hotel. The very next day, employees “figured out” the shooter.
He turned out to be a 17-year-old tourist who came from the southern region of Russia. The police found out that the young man and his friends bought an air pistol in the store that day and decided to test it on a random passerby. The suspect was detained on the basis of Art. 91 Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation.
