Police fatally struck a skateboarder rolling in the middle of the road

The Los Angeles Police Department released footage from an emergency call in which a police car, en route to the scene, fatally struck a skateboarder who was rolling in the middle of the road. The incident itself occurred on September 19, but footage from several cameras was only released this week. The investigation is expected to last several months. The victim's mother claims her son was simply returning from work and not skating in the roadway.
