A giant wave capsized a boat with a family

Off the coast of the famous Steamer Lane surf spot in Santa Cruz, California, a small motorboat carrying a family of six—two adults and four children—capsized in a strong wave, throwing all occupants into the water. Some family members were not wearing life jackets.

Witnesses reported that surfers in the ocean at the time immediately rushed to the family's aid and helped them out of the water.
